The Artist

A deeper connection through art.

I am a contemporary realism painter and poet, based in Miami. I move between two ways of painting: the figure — bodies, faces, moments of intimacy and vulnerability — and more expressive work, where the composition turns raw and layered, and paint, texture and movement carry the emotion all over the canvas at once.

Femininity, desire, tenderness, and the quiet human moments between people are what I keep returning to. Sometimes the feeling is clearest when every edge is controlled; sometimes it only arrives when I let the paint be wild. Either way, emotion is the subject — the painting is just how it gets to be seen.

Painting what words cannot say.

My studio is in Miami. I paint the figure when I am listening, and I paint expressively when I cannot hold the feeling still — when the emotion must exist all over the canvas at once. The poems come the way the paintings do: from the same place, in a different language.
